Erin Connell

Partner

As a former Air Force Captain that served as a section commander in a squadron that trained F-15 fighter pilots, Erin is an expert at litigating under intense pressure when the stakes are high. As a divorcee herself, Erin understands that nothing is more important than matters that involve your family and children. As such, Erin prides herself on being a zealous advocate for her clients and treating her client’s case as if it were her own family.

Erin brings a wealth of diverse life and legal experience coupled with true compassion to her clients. Originally from Hamilton, Ohio, Erin was selected as an Air Force ROTC Scholarship recipient and attended Indiana University in Bloomington. While in college, Erin obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Aerospace Studies. After graduating from IU, Erin was commissioned an Air Force officer and was assigned to Tyndall AFB, Panama City, Florida. While working full-time in the 2d Fighter Squadron, Erin obtained a Master’s Degree of Public Administration from Troy State University. As a veteran herself, Erin prides herself on being uniquely qualified to serve military members and their families in their specialized legal needs which can be significantly different than civilian matters.

Prior to her decision to practice primarily family and domestic law, Erin worked as a litigation associate at a firm in Indianapolis after graduating from Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis. This opportunity allowed her to obtain invaluable experience working on complex commercial litigation matters in state, federal and appellate court. During this time, Erin was responsible for the autonomous handling of a wide-range of litigation matters to include domestic relations law, health care litigation and medical malpractice defense, long term and assisted living facility defense, commercial litigation, and products liability defense. Erin also served as court-appointed co-counsel on a two-week jury murder trial which resulted in her participating in all stages of a complex, high-stakes jury trial.

As a registered family law mediator and a trained collaborative divorce attorney, Erin is also able to provide her client’s with other avenues for resolving their legal issues through alternative dispute resolution for divorce, custody and other family law matters rather than just the traditional litigation option.

While staying busy with her legal practice, Erin also prides herself on being an active member of her Hendricks County community. Erin has served as President, Vice-President and Secretary of the Hendricks County Bar Association and a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for a Hendricks County Superior Court. An advocate for children, Erin currently serves as local counsel for the Plainfield School Corporation. Additionally, Erin has served on the board of directors for Child Advocates which serves the needs of minor children that need legal representation. In her free time, Erin is a busy mom to twin boys and enjoys attending their sporting and extracurricular events, traveling and simply relaxing and enjoying quality time with her family and friends.
