Rebecca Geyer is an attorney at Hollingsworth & Zivitz, PC and Chair of the Estate Planning/Elder Law Team. Certified as an Indiana Estate Planning and Administration Specialist*, Rebecca assists clients primarily with estate planning and elder law issues including: wills & trusts; powers of attorney; healthy care documents/advanced directives; estate & trust administration; probate proceedings; estate, individual & fiduciary tax returns; irrevocable trusts; limited partnerships; charitable trusts & other sophisticated estate planning techniques; Medicaid planning; guardianships; social security benefits; veteran's benefits; home evaluation; special needs planning for disabled children & adults; long-term care insurance; asset evaluation & planning for the costs of long term care. Rebecca's practice also encompasses business formation and succession planning, real estate matters, and assistance with deed preparation and asset re-titling.
With more than ten years of legal experience, Rebecca understands the challenges, fears, and family dynamics that often come into play with legal issues. She adopts an empathetic and compassionate approach to assist clients in addressing their particular goals and concerns. An avid volunteer in both the legal community and the Indianapolis community at large, Rebecca frequently speaks and writes on estate planning and elder law topics, and annually provides pro bono legal services to individuals through her work with the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Albert and Sara Reuben Senior Resource and Community Center. In 2010, Rebecca was named to the prestigious list of Super Lawyers® Rising Stars for family law by Law & Politics Magazine and Indianapolis Monthly.
Rebecca lives in Carmel with her husband and three sons. She enjoys reading, traveling, and watching Colts football and Indiana basketball when away from her practice.
