Abigayle M. Hensley is an associate attorney at Hollingsworth & Zivitz, P.C. where she concentrates her law practice in the area of family law. She represents clients in matters including divorce and legal separation; custody; parenting time (visitation); child support; post-secondary educational expenses (college expenses); paternity; prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; post-decree modifications and enforcement (including contempt actions); emancipation, domestic partnership agreements and disputes; spousal maintenance (alimony); relocations; protective orders (restraining orders); grandparent rights; military divorces; and family law appeals.

Ms. Hensley has dedicated her legal career to assisting her clients with challenging family issues who are in need of legal advice and protection. She has extensive litigation experience handling complex, contested family law matters involving formal discovery issues, depositions, custody evaluations, guardian ad litem reports, business valuations, and expert testimony. She also promotes amicable resolutions when possible, without the need for litigation, by drafting settlement proposals, negotiating in settlement conferences, or assisting clients through the mediation process.

In 2008, Ms. Hensley earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis. During law school, she participated in the school's Pro Bono Program working for Craine House, an alternative sentencing program for non-violent female offenders and their pre-school age children. She graduated magna cum laude from Clemson University majoring in philosophy with an emphasis in law, liberty and justice with a minor in sociology.

Ms. Hensley is a member of family law sections of the Indiana, Indianapolis and Hamilton County bar associations. In addition to her legal practice, Ms. Hensley continues to be a frequent volunteer of her time, as she often takes pro bono and modest means cases. Ms. Hensley has also worked with various pro bono legal service organizations including the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic and Heartland Pro Bono Council. In addition, she has volunteered at events such as the Indy Homeless Connect and Indy Resource Connect. Abigayle and her husband reside outside of Lebanon. When she is not working or volunteering, she enjoys live music and spending time outdoors hiking and camping.
